We rerouted our roadtrip just to be able to snag a vacant date to stay in this very historic B&B and it didn't disappoint! The inn's owner, Amelia, was very responsive to all our questions and needs, even giving us the historic highlights of the home and previous owners. She had stocked our room with all the necessary amenities and then some, even including dog bowls and protective cover for the bedspread - somehow anticipating the needs of our spoiled furry traveler! The room was very convenient to the outside for dog walks. Amelia suggested several top Kennebunk restaurants for dinner; the breakfast she made the next morning was delightful as was the conversation. We love telling friends now about this fabulous B&B and how we slept in the same room where Ralph Waldo Emerson stayed and wrote when visiting his great uncle Waldo.

Our stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn for a long weekend was wonderful, and the owners made it even more special. The Inn itself is charming a quaint with special touches all around for the guests. Our room was cozy and comfortable and the location a short drive from town. What stood out was the great hospitality from the owners- including the delicious breakfasts. Ron and Amelia were graciously accommodating of my vegan diet. With a few days notice they went above and beyond to make great and filling breakfasts, even sending me home with leftovers! I would recommend this stay for anyone with a vegan diet, or any dietary needs or allergies- you will feel well taken care of...and full. All in all, don't hesitate to book The Waldo Emerson Inn if you're looking for a charming and unique place to that will feel personal and memorable.

Our stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn was absolutely perfect! The inn itself is beautiful and charming. It is located in the perfect spot, less than 10 minutes away from main streets in both Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Our room, Bourne, was gorgeous! It was even better than the photos posted. The room was comfortable and a great size for a couple. However, the hosts were the real highlight for us. Amelia and Ron greeted us warmly and were extremely friendly and accommodating. Amelia's assistant, Michael, was also incredibly friendly. The food that they cooked up for breakfast was delicious. We got engaged during this trip and Amelia, Michael and Ron were so wonderful in helping us celebrate. We're really looking forward to coming back in the future. Highly recommend the inn for a romantic stay or family trip.

The Waldo Emerson Inn has quickly become my favorite B&B and I go to tons. It is absolutely lovely. The owners have done a wonderful job renovating this historic inn down to the smallest detail. The rooms are spacious and oh so comfy. They have a Nespresso machine! And Kcup coffeemaker, and yummy cookies and snacks throughout. They have a couple of lovely communal salon/lounge rooms. They even offer wine and beer for purchase, super convient and nice selection -- Alamos Malbec which is our go to red. They made a wonderful breakfast to start us off and we enjoyed meeting our fellow travelers in the welcoming atmosphere. The location is absolutely perfect nestled between downtown Kennebunk and downtown Kennebunkport. I highly recommend this fantastic Inn. We will return!

Where to begin? How often do you get to stay in a home over 200 years old. All the imperfections of time noted as nothing in this home was level while it continues to fight against gravity. The owners were the nicest of people thinking of the smallest details. I was greeted by Amelia and taken to our room with our names on the door. The room was spectacular with wide board floors creaking ever so slightly. The attention to detail from the bed to the pillows, linens, and towels were noted by girlfriend and myself. Nothing here was left to chance! The community rooms were well thought out with offerings to comfort all. My only regret is I did not stay longer. Soon to be remedied on my next visit.
